Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information CareerGuru AI collects, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Account: your email address and a securely stored password.
  • Profile: name, degree, branch, year, college, skills, interests, experience, certifications, target role, expected salary, preferred location and language that you enter.
  • Resume and job content you paste or upload, and the analysis results.
  • Your career chat messages.
  • Payment records: plan, amount, and Razorpay order and payment IDs. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by Razorpay and never reach us.

    • How we use it

    Only to run the app for you: to sign you in, generate your analyses and chat replies, apply your plan limits, process payments, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal information.

    Who processes it

  • Supabase: login and database (hosted in Mumbai, India).
  • Cloudflare: website hosting and our secure server.
  • Google (Gemini API): your profile, resume text or PDF, and chat messages are sent to Google’s AI to create results. Under Google’s terms for the free tier, Google may use submitted content to improve its services, so please avoid including sensitive details you do not want processed this way (for example ID numbers or bank details).
  • Razorpay: payments.

    • Resume files

    A PDF you upload is sent to the AI for analysis and is not stored as a file. We keep the extracted text and the analysis in your account.

    Your device

    The app stores your login session and drafts in your browser’s local storage. Logging out clears them.

    Access and deletion

    Only you can see your profile, results and chats; each account is separated at the database level. In Profile, “Delete my data” erases your analyses, chats, resumes and profile. To delete your account fully or ask any privacy question, email careerguru.support@gmail.com. We keep payment records as long as needed for accounting and legal reasons.

    Children

    The app is meant for students and job seekers. If you are under 18, please use it with a parent or guardian.
